Miami Hurricane baseball (48-11) is advancing to the NCAA super regionals after defeating Long Beach State University 9-8 in the NCAA Coral Gables Regional on Sunday night.
The game looked promising for Miami with eight runs in the first four innings, until Long Beach State tied up the game 8-8 in the eighth inning. It was Randy Batista’s single RBI in the bottom of the ninth that helped bring his team to a walk off victory. This is the first time the Hurricanes have reached back to back super regionals since 2005-06.
