The Missouri Tigers (10-17) travel to Oxford, Mississippi to take on the Ole Miss Rebels (17-10) in an SEC matchup. The Tigers have a 3-11 conference record, while the Rebels post a 7-7 record in the SEC. Ole Miss is tied for seventh in the SEC with Alabama and Georgia, while Missouri is sitting last in the conference.
Ole Miss comes into this game off a strong win over Auburn this past weekend. The Rebels defeated Auburn 69-59 behind Stefan Moody’s 23 points. Moody has carried the Rebels offensively for most of this season averaging a team best 22.8 PPG; 8th best in the entire nation and best in the SEC. Missouri head coach Kim Anderson knows how dangerous of a player Moody is.
Missouri rides a one game losing streak coming into this one after falling to Arkansas 84-72 last Saturday. The Tigers haven’t been able to produce a lot of offense this season averaging just 68.1 PP making them the second worst offensive team in the SEC.
The Tigers, like much of the SEC, are an awful road team posting an 0-9 record when away from home. Missouri will have trouble picking up their first win on the road against Ole Miss since the Rebels are an impressive 10-2 on their home court.
These two teams already went up against each other earlier in the season with Ole Miss winning a close one 76-73 at Missouri. Stefan Moody led the Rebels in this game putting up 23 points to lift them over the Tigers. Ole Miss was without forward Sebastian Saiz in that game due to injury. Missouri head coach Kim Anderson says his presence this game will make a difference.
Tip-off for this game is set for 9 p.m.
