Any concerns for the knee of Washington’s John Wall were put to rest last night as he scored 26 points in the Wizard’s 114-103 victory over the Heat in Miami. Wall left the prior game with a sore knee, but it didn’t stop him from having a great performance against the Heat. For the first time in franchise history, Miami shot 59 percent for the game and still lost.
The Wizards began the fourth quarter and never gave it up. Miami was able to tie up the score on two occasions, but Washington battled back each time. With a little over a minute to go, Washington had a two point lead when former Gator Brad Beal appeared to travel with the ball and pass it to Gary Neal, who made a 3-pointer to put the Wizards up by five. The play took the wind out of the sails for Miami.
Miami’s Chris Bosh blames a lack of communication for the loss. Bosh was ejected for only the second time in his career after arguing with an official over a call in the final minute of the game. The Heat will look to get back on track against the Hornets in Charlotte on Wednesday night.
