NLDS Preview

The National League Divisional Series match ups continue Monday when the Chicago Cubs face the St.Louis Cardinals and the New York Mets host the Los Angeles Dodgers.   Both series are tied at one game each.

The New York Mets will host their first ever playoff game at Citi Field. The crowd should be hyped since LA second baseman Chase Utley fractured the leg of New York shortstop Ruben Tejada on a hard slide into second base.  Utley was suspended for two games but he appealed the ruling and is eligible to play in Game 3.

The Chicago Cubs play at home tonight on Wrigley Field against the St. Louis Cardinals.  Jake Arrieta will be the starting pitcher for the Cubs as Michael Wacha starts for the Cardinals. Arrieta is on a roll as he pitched a complete game shutout against the Pittsburgh Pirates in his first career post season start in the NL wild card game.  He allowed five hits and had 11 strikeouts.
