NBA and NHL playoffs, NFL Draft, MLB results and more in our Wednesday Sports Update… ** Per ESPN, the Oklahoma City Thunder have begun discussions with Florida basketball coach Billy Donovan about their coaching vacancy. ** In the NBA playoffs, Houston moves on to the second round after beating Dallas 103-94 and San Antonio beat the LA Clippers 111-107 to go up 3-2 in that series. Brooklyn is at Atlanta and Memphis hosts Portland tonight. ** In the NHL playoffs, Detroit is at Tampa Bay tonight for a series deciding Game 7. ** In baseball, Miami edges the New York Mets 4-3; Tampa Bay loses to the New York Yankees 4-2 and Atlanta blows a huge lead and loses to Washington 13-12. ** Because of the rioting in Baltimore, baseball will do something it has never done; it will have a game in Baltimore between the Orioles and the White Sox today but no fans will be allowed inside. ** The Gator women’s tennis teams will host NCAA Tournament first and second round action. Florida will face Bethune-Cookman in the first round and then if it wins play the winner of Wichita State and Georgia Tech. ** The Gator men’s tennis team also makes the NCAA Tournament field but it will play at Wake Forest.
