The Miami Dolphins blanked the San Diego Chargers on Sunday en route to a 37-0 victory. Dolphin quarterback Ryan Tannehill led the Dolphins aerial attack as he threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns. This was also Tannehill’s third game of the season with no interceptions.
The Chargers were shutout for the first time since 1999 and even pulled quarterback Phillip Rivers in the third quarter, as he threw for just 138 yards with three picks. The Charger defense meanwhile allowed the most points than it had in any other contest this season.
Next week the Dolphins (5-3) take on the Lions (6-2) in Detroit. The Chargers have a bye before they take on AFC West rival, the Oakland Raiders.
