NCAA Gymnastics Regionals start Saturday in the O’Connell Center. The Florida Gators are entering the postseason as the No. 1 team in the nation and the only team to post a score of 198 or higher three times this season.
The Regionals includes five other teams: Auburn, Bridgeport, Maryland, Minnesota and Pittsburgh.
Gator coach Rhonda Faehn says it’s an advantage to be at home this year.
Faehn hopes the team goes into Regionals with a similar mindset that it had in the regular season by enjoying themselves and keeping the momentum going when they are competing in each event.
The top two teams and the top two all-around competitors travel to Pauley Pavillion, Los Angeles to advance to the NCAA Championship next weekend April 19-21.
Regionals will start at 6 p.m.
