BCS Title Game Preview

Anticipation is rising for the BCS National Championship tonight where the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish face off at Sun Life Stadium in Miami.
These two teams haven’t faced off since 1987 and here they are in the biggest game of the year. This particular matchup is the matchup in college football.  The Crimson Tide and the Fighting Irish are two of the most legendary and successful programs in the sport’s history.  Things such as the Irish symbol and the movie Rudy are immediatly associated with Touchdown Jesus and the Golden helmets.  It also doesn’t hurt that The Irish have 11 National Titles and 7 Heisman Trophy winners to their credit.
Then there’s Alabama with 14 National Titles including their most recent last season. The Crimson Tide have been the gold standard in college football over the last four years and seem to be a staple to play for the crystal ball thanks to excellent coaching and dominant recruiting classes by head coach Nick Saban.
Saban says his team is honored to be in the championship game.
Saban also talked about his team’s mindset coming into the game.
Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly talks about his teams maturation.
Kelly goes on to say that the game will be won in the trenches.
