While coaches almost always use the time honored tradition of taking it “one game at a time” the Kentucky Wildcats will be starting a very difficult stretch of games starting when it hosts nationally ranked Florida Saturday.
After that, the Wildcats must face nationally ranked LSU and South Carolina in back to back games after coming off an emotional loss to in state rival Louisville last week.
The Cats do have some talent but that talent is young and offensively the team has struggled for much of the early season. Quarterback Morgan Newton is a dual threat quarterback who shows promise and the Cats do have some long receivers that can create some space in the passing game.
Still, the offensive unit averages only 19 points a game and some in Lexington feel the Cats have little chance to beat Florida, one of the best defensive teams in the SEC.
Florida meanwhile is hoping to build on its win over Tennessee last week but it knows it will have to play better with a tough stretch of games coming up as well which starts with nationally ranked Alabama coming to Gainesville next weekend.
WRUF Sports Radio 850 has live coverage of the Kentucky game this Saturday starting with the Community Bank And Trust Of Florida First And Ten pregame show at 4pm.
