The Florida women’s basketball team continues its three game home stretch on Sunday when they welcome South Carolina into the O’Connell Center. The Gators (13-5, 2-2 SEC) have taken this bye week to regroup after a tough 78-75 overtime loss to Tennessee last weekend. Florida head coach Amanda Butler says one of the silver linings of the defeat was realizing how much her team believes in themselves.
Butler knows the Gamecocks will be pose a challenge for the Gator offense, and says South Carolina’s staunch defense could be a concern.
The tenacity the Gamecocks bring to the defensive side of the ball is something the Gators will have to match throughout the game. Butler says it’s one of the main factors that could bring her team a victory.
Tip off is set for 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
