Brady’s Patriots defeat Ravens, Advance to 11-2.

Monday Night Football last night included the Patriots for the first half, and well, the Patriots. Oh, and the Ravens were there too. They showed up around the third quarter. In this all important late season matchup between two of the AFC’s perennial playoff contenders, the Patriots held off a late charge from the Ravens—winning 30-23.

The first points were thanks to a safety by the Patriots’ Malcom Brown and Patrick Chung when they stopped Ravens running back Kenneth Dixon behind the goal line.  Then a blocked field goal kick by Shea McClellin caused Justin Tucker’s first miss this season.

The Ravens were finally able to get something on the board with a 50-yard field goal before the half. They ran in with the score at 16-3.

When they did decide to show in the third quarter, they didn’t just show up. They came to play. This game nearly flipped when the Patriots fumbled two kicks in 14 seconds in the third quarter. Tom Brady had a 65.8 percent completion rate, three touchdowns and one interception. Brady went over 400 yards, and it’s his second 400-yard game of the season.

Joe Flacco had 71.2 percent completion rate, two touchdowns and one interception. The Ravens could only produce a field goal just before the two minute warning. Flacco says he’s focused on one thing.

A last chance onside kick gave still gave the Patriots the ball and allowed them to run out the clock to end the game.

Brady says The Raven’s defense is a tough match.
