The No. 19 Florida Gators women’s basketball team has had a great season so far, as they stand with a 4-1 record. They are hoping to recover after a tough 73-68 defeat in their first loss of the season to Northwestern last week. The loss was largely due to Northwestern dominating them in the fourth quarter. The Northwestern Wildcats outscored the Gators 17-8 in the last quarter of the game, despite Florida’s 60-56 lead going into the fourth quarter.Freshman Sydney Searcy says the team is ready to bounce back from this disappointing loss.

Eleanna Christinaki, Ronni Williams, and Haley Lorenzen will be the players to watch this game. They have been the team’s top three scorers in almost every game this season. Eleanna Christinaki had a season high of 29 points scored during the game against Chattanooga.

The Wofford Terriers

The Wofford Terriers women’s basketball team has a 3-2 record this season, and are averaging 72.2 points per game. Kentra Washington and Chloe Wanink will be the players to watch on the Terriers. Washington leads the team with an average of 12.8 points scored per game. Wanink follows Washington with an average of 11.6 points scored per game.

The Gators have a long weekend coming up after this game, with games on both Saturday and Sunday. The Gators will take on Long Beach State and then either Boston University or Arizona State, respectively.

Catch live coverage of Wednesday night’s game starting at 6:45 p.m. on ESPN Gainesville 98.1 FM, AM 850.
