How It Happened
First Quarter
Florida (4-2) started strong with a 1-0 lead with 11:24 remaining in the quarter on a goal by Gianna Monaco. However, Loyola responded with its first goal with 9:22 left. In the last 7:30 of the quarter, UF gained momentum with four goals by Gabby Greene, Frannie Hahn, Kaitlyn Davies and Clark Hamilton. UF led 5-1 at the end of the quarter.
Second Quarter
The Gators carried on the momentum into the second quarter with the first goal by Hahn with 12:08 left. Loyola (4-3) responded with a goal at 11:18 remaining. Hamilton scored the next goal for the Gators. Florida led 7-2 half way through the second quarter. Loyola scored the next goal with 5:11 left. The Gators responded with a goal by Monaco with 1:53 remaining followed by a goal by Loyola. The second quarter ended with Florida leading 8-4.

Third Quarter
Loyola started off the third quarter with two straight goals. However, UF shutdown Loyola’s momentum with goals by Jenny Markey, Hamilton and Monaco, to end the third quarter up 11-6.
Action Packed Fourth Quarter
Florida protected its lead beginning the last quarter with two back-to-back goals by Davies. With 10:42 and 9:06 remaining, Loyola scored two goals. Hahn and Hamilton were both able to secure two more goals with 6:38 and 1:32 remaining. Loyola responded with one more goal with 30 seconds left in the game.
Florida Highlights
Hamilton scored a career high of six points and two assists. Davies also scored a career high of four points.
