Bronson Hosts Oak Hall In Final Regular Season Game

Oak Hall has continued last season’s success when they went 7-2 and turned it into an undefeated 8-0 season this year. For the first time in a while, Oak Hall will be continuing on to postseason play. However, before Oak Hall enters the postseason, they travel to Bronson tonight for the final regular season game of the year.

Bronson

Bronson (1-7), under first-year coach and former Gator Curtis Stacy, has had a rough season but finally ended a 15-game losing streak with a win at Wildwood.
While Bronson has not had the most successful season, Oak Hall’s head coach Matt Dibernardo says he is excited to play Bronson because of the drive and passion of its players. He also says that Bronson has the ability end Oak Hall’s undefeated season.
Although Oak Hall will be continuing to postseason play, Dibernardo says the team does not try and focus on the overall season but rather takes each game week by week in practice. Practice that is not based on the team but on fundamentals.
Next week, Oak Hall hosts John Paul II for a chance at the North Florida Championship. It’s the second time this season these two teams face each other. The first time Oak Hall came out on top with a 28-19 win. Dibernardo says he is not sure if having played John Paul II previously is an advantage or disadvantage. Either way, he prides himself and his school with the success of this year’s team.
For now, Dibernardo and the Oak Hall football team try to end their regular season undefeated at Bronson. Kick off is set for 7:30 p.m.
