Orlando Magic Get First Home Win, Top Kings

The Orlando Magic improved to 2-3 last night after a 102-94 win over the Sacramento Kings. Last night was the Magic’s second win in row with great performances by Evan Fournier and Aaron Gordon.

Fournier and Gordon

Fournier came up big for the Magic, leading his team in scoring with 29 points. It’s safe to say he won his matchup with known tough defender Aaron Afflalo. Fournier took advantage scoring from everywhere on the floor. He shot 3-7 from the three and attacked the defense getting to the line shooting 6-7 from the free throw line. Gordon also put in key contributions in the Magic’s win logging a double-double scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Serge Ibaka also had a solid performance considering his assignment of defending Demarcus Cousin, adding 17 points going 6-13 from the field.

In the victory over the Kings, five Magic players scored in double figures. The complete offensive game against the Kings gave teammates Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon, and Nikola Vucevic high hopes for what the remainder of the seasons can look like.

In their loss, Sacramento superstar Demarcus Cousins had another dominant performance with 33 points seven rebounds and four assists but fell short due to Orlando’s outstanding offensive play. Rudy Gay also added 16 points on 6-13 shooting.
