The Gainesville Hurricanes (4-4) will attempt to end their season on a high note as they host the Eastside Rams (1-7) on Friday.
GHS is coming off a 38-12 district win against Leesburg at Citizens Field last week, finishing (2-2) in District 5 of Class 6A, good for third behind Forest and Vanguard.
The Hurricanes’ longest winning streak this season is two games, and they will try to match it against the one-win Rams. A win lets them finish the season over .500 a year after reaching the regional finals.
Although this is Gainesville High’s season finale, Eastside has one more game next week at Hardee (Wauchula, FL).
