After winning four games in a row, the Buffalo Bills will try to keep up their winning momentum when they face the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, at 1 p.m.
Watching Out for The QB
The Miami Dolphins are heading into Week 7 of the season with the focus of taking care of their quarterback. The Dolphins have only been able to accumulate 1,409 passing yards and are ranked 20th overall. Of course, Ryan Tannehill has a lot to do with that stat. Tannehill has seven interception coming into this game. In order to improve his offensive reads and increase his touchdown total (6), he will need to have better mobility to let the passes flow through the No. 14 ranked defensive team in passing yards allowed (1,452).
Just Let It Rush
This will be a game of contrasts in the rushing department. On the one hand, the Buffalo Bills are the No. 1 rushing offense in the league with 999 rushing yards total. On the other hand, the Miami Dolphins have the second worst defense against the rush in the league with 882 rushing yards allowed. The Buffalo Bills’ rushing dominance is mainly because of the hard work from LeSean McCoy; his body movement and quick decision-making has allowed him to rush for 587 yards. But due to a hamstring injury, McCoy may not start Sunday’s game, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.
Force Taylor to Pass the Ball
The Miami Dolphins’ secondary team will have the chance to play at a high level against the passing for the first time this season – taking into account that they are the No. 13 ranked defense with 1,420 passing yards allowed. They are in a good spot this week because the Buffalo Bills are the second worst passing offense with 1,026 passing yards. Tyrod Taylor, Bills’ quarterback, will have to excel when setting the pace for the offense and using his quickness when running the ball in order to survive without McCoy this weekend.
This game might be pivotal for both teams in their journey to a playoff spot in the AFC East. A win for the Buffalo Bills will put some pressure in the division leaders, the New England Patriots, while a win by the Miami Dolphins will mean an opportunity for them to be competitive and relevant in the spotlight.
