Halftime Heroics
After trailing 14-3 at the half vs. South Carolina in Week 3, the Bulldogs did not lose confidence. Instead of sulking in the locker room and pointing fingers at one another, team leaders stepped up and talked to their teammates.
Junior linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson encouraged his team to trust each other. Junior offensive lineman Sedrick Van Pran told his teammates to be in the right positions without giving any excuses.
Coach Kirby Smart told his team “we need one moment at a time.” He expected his team to have about six offensive possessions in the second half, scoring on four. Kirby also said how the Gamecocks will probably score on one of their possessions.
Georgia went on to score three touchdowns in seven possessions. South Carolina did not score.

What brought Georgia back into this game was its dominant running game. Lead back Daijun Edwards went for 118 yards, a career high, and a touchdown on 20 carries. Dillon Bell and Cash Jones were also able to find the endzone.
In the SEC teleconference, Smart highlighted how redshirt freshman Andrew Paul has been impressive during his recovery after suffering an ACL tear last fall. This week, he expects to give Paul and his other running backs a chance to play.
Smart is excited about the 7:30 p.m. kickoff time.
Blazers Struggles
UAB was dominated by Louisiana in its 41-21 loss last Saturday. The Blazers didn’t score their first touchdown until the fourth quarter.
Samario Rudolph‘s performance was one of the only bright spots for the Blazers. He went for 66 yards and a touchdown with eight receptions. This was the senior’s best game of his collegiate career as he earned a career high in receptions and a career high in yards.
UAB Falls to Louisiana 41-21 on Saturday Night at Protective Stadium.
