After two Sunday’s of NFL action, the list of injured stars have began to pile up. Last night Adrian Peterson went down with a bad knee injury. Peterson was escorted into the locker room with the aid of two trainers, unable to place any pressure on his leg. Despite the injury, the Vikings under the leadership of Sam Bradford, pulled out a win in their newly renovated building. Minnesota stalled out Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay 17-14 on Sunday night primetime.

New England welcomed Miami into Gillette Stadium where the Dolphins have struggled against their AFC East foe. The Patriots ran away with the game early as Jimmy Garoppolo threw the ball all over the Dolphin secondary. On the first three drives for the Patriots, Garoppolo marched down the field tossing three touchdowns. Two of the three touchdowns went to Danny Amendola, his first multi-TD game of his career.
The game changed when Garoppolo went down hard on his throwing shoulder. Miami made a game out of it battling back to make it a one possession game in the 4th quarter but eventually fell 31-24. Bill Belichik praised third-string quarterback Jacoby Brissett afterwards.
Heated rivals remained dormant yesterday between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals. Big Ben and DeAngelo Williams were the catalysts behind the Steeler offense. Pittsburgh led 24-9 in the 4th quarter before giving up a touchdown and awarded the Bengals to win the football game, but eventually came up short. Final score 24-16. Ben Roethlisberger says it wasn’t pretty but a win is a win.
Marcus Mariota in his second NFL season navigated down the field to lead the Tennessee Titans to a game winning drive against Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions. Mariota slung a 9-yard touchdown pass to Andre Johnson (yes that Andre Johnson). Titans win 16-15. The NFL Sophomore said it was a needed confidence booster.
The Rams welcomed the Seahawks for the first official game in Los Angeles. Seattle’s stuttering offense continues to be underwhelming this season, failing to score a single touchdown yesterday. The LA Rams didn’t score a touchdown either, but they didn’t need it. Field goals decided this game, Rams win 9-3.
