The second round of the SEC women’s basketball tournament will begin Thursday after an eventful first round at Bon Secours Wellness Arena Wednesday. The first game of day is a top-10 showdown between the No. 9 Arkansas Razorbacks and the No. 8 Missouri Tigers at noon. Following behind are match ups between Texas A&M versus Mississippi State, Auburn versus Georgia and Kentucky versus Alabama.

Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Missouri Tigers
Arkansas (20-11, 7-9 SEC) and Missouri (17-12, 6-10 SEC) women’s hoops will meet for the sixth time in two seasons on Thursday. This season, the Razorbacks have defeated the Tigers consecutively with the latest score of 77-55 in Missouri. The Tigers haven’t beaten the Razorbacks since 2019 but hope to turn things around.
The winner of this game will compete against the number one South Carolina Gamecocks in the quarterfinals on Friday at noon.
Texas A&M Aggies vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs
The Aggies knocked off Vanderbilt in the first round of the SEC Tournament, 77-70. Freshman Sydney Bowles had a career-high 22 points which helped the Aggies tremendously as both teams were down to the wire. The Bulldogs will make their tournament debut.

The winner of this game will take on Ole Miss in the quarterfinals on Friday at 2 p.m.
Auburn Tigers vs. Georgia Bulldogs
The Auburn Tigers (15-13, 5-11 SEC) will start their post season run versus the Georgia Bulldogs (20-10, 9-7 SEC) on Thursday. The two teams met last Thursday in Athens with Georgia defeating Auburn, 70-59. Auburn is coming in at the 10th seed while Georgia sits in the seventh seed.

The winner will face off against the number two LSU Tigers on Friday at 6 p.m.
Kentucky Wildcats vs. Alabama Crimson Tide
The Wildcats lived up to their name in a SEC shutout against the Florida Gators. Kentucky won 72-57 after Florida’s bench was shortened after a scuffle on the court. Alabama will look to tame the Wildcats and advance to the quarterfinals.
