The Tampa Bay Lighting lost to the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas. The Knights 5-4 win extended their unbeaten streak to five games to remain first in the Pacific Division.
Tampa Bay head back to the Amalie Arena third in the Atlantic Division. The Lightning now sit on a two-game losing streak after wrapping up a four-game road trip which included a loss to the Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday.

First Period
The Lighting took the lead with a goal in the sixth minute from Vladislav Namestnikov.
Within 47 seconds, Brett Howden would equalize for the Knights, and Steven Stamkos scored his 25th goal of the season with a delicious slap shot from the left circle to retake the lead for the Lighting on a power play.
One from Shea Theodore and two from Jonathan Marchessault made it 4-2 for the Knights to close the first. Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper challenged Marchessault’s second goal for a high stick, but it was upheld after the video replay.

Lighting keeps it Tight
A hard-fought second period brought the Lighting back within one with a goal from Corey Perry, making him one of four Lighting players with two points (Namestnikov, Victor Hedman, Mikhail Sergachev).
The game clincher for the Knights would come in the third period by Nicolas Roy in an empty net.
Pierre-Edouard Bellemare closed out the game with a goal for the Lighting with 11 seconds remaining.
