Gators and Aggies to Clash on Saturday

The 4-4 Gators will travel to Texas A&M to face off against the Aggies on Saturday afternoon.

Florida’s Season to Date

The Gators currently sit at four wins and four losses through eight games on the season. Quarterback Anthony Richardson has had some unbelievable highlights throughout the season so far, but some inconsistency has come with it. For example, after three rushing touchdowns against Utah to start the season, Richardson had just four rush yards and 143 passing yards in the next game, a loss to Kentucky. Richardson has done a fantastic job as the leader of Florida, but it’s no secret that his play directly affects Florida’s record. We know what Richardson is capable of, which teams fear. If he comes to play tomorrow afternoon, Texas A&M will be in big trouble.

Texas A&M’s Season to Date

The Aggies are currently 3-5 on the season. After the hot 3-1 start to the season, Texas A&M has lost four games in a row. The Aggies have had different quarterbacks start for them this season, but the most recent one was Conner Weigman. Although it resulted in a loss, Weigman threw for an impressive 338 passing yards to go along with four touchdowns and no interceptions. Weigman also got some play time against South Carolina the week before and threw for 91 yards on eight completions. If Weigman continues his current play, the struggling Florida defense will have to make big adjustments.

Napier’s Opinion

Florida Head Coach Billy Napier was asked about the team’s season so far and he mentioned how the team plans to prepare for this weekend’s game. Although the team has struggled so far, Napier praised the effort the team shows.

The game between the Florida Gators and the Texas A&M Aggies will be tomorrow at 12 p.m. ET.
