Although the Gators football team is on a bye, it’s a loaded weekend for Gator sports.
Numerous Florida teams are in action across the country.
Men’s Tennis
Six Florida men’s tennis players are in Tallahassee for the ITA Southeast Regional this weekend.

Each of the players listed in the above tweet are competing in both singles and doubles, this weekend. The doubles pairs are Nate Bonetto/Will Grant, Jonah Braswell/Lukas Greif and Tanapatt Nirundorn/Togan Tokac.

Swim and Dive
Men’s and women’s swimming and diving are facing the Virginia Cavaliers in Charlottesville on Saturday.
The No. 3 ranked men’s team look to move to 2-0 on the season against No. 9 Virginia. Florida began the year with a massive 252-42 win over Nova Southeastern in September.

It’s an especially important matchup for the women’s team, as the Virginia women’s team ranks No. 1 in the country and have won two consecutive national titles.
Golf
Both men’s and women’s golf are in action this weekend. The two teams are competing in different locations.
The Gator women are in California for the Stanford Intercollegiate tournament Friday through Sunday. The tournament features 18 teams.

The No. 16 Gator women look for a strong finish to the fall portion of their schedule and the invitational hosted by the top-ranked Cardinal is a major opportunity. A full preview of their weekend can be found here.
The Gator men will take part in the Ilseworth Collegiate tournament in Orlando. It runs from Sunday through Tuesday and features 15 of the nation’s top men’s teams.
Softball
The Gator softball team opens its fall slate this weekend, with home games on Friday and Sunday.

On Friday night, the Gators go up against Jacksonville at 7 p.m., and on Sunday, the team takes on rival Florida State at 2 p.m.
The Gators reached the Women’s College World Series last season and welcomes freshmen Olivia Gigante and Kaila Pollard from California for their college debuts.
Soccer
It hasn’t been the greatest season for Gator soccer. Sitting at 2-12-1 on the season, Florida’s last win came Sept. 1 against USF.
Sunday’s game at Alabama represents an opportunity for a huge upset and a shot to grab some momentum heading into next week’s SEC tournament.

The Crimson Tide rank third in the nation and have won 11 straight. The Tide clinched the SEC West division on Thursday with a win over Mississippi State.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Sunday.
