MNF: Bills vs. Titans Preview

Monday night football Week 2 starts with the Buffalo Bills (1-0) and Tennessee Titans (0-1). The Bills are coming off a 31-10 win over the Rams, while the Titans look to make a comeback after falling to the Giants 21-20.

The Bills are off to a good start as they secured their season opener by beating the reigning champions – the Los Angeles Rams 31-10.

On the other hand, the Titans are looking to bounce back after losing their 21-20 against the New York Giants.

The Bills’ Strength on Both Ends

The Bills showed no mercy against the reigning champions. They turned the ball over four times and won by three touchdowns. Their victory was a complete team effort as both the offense and defense displayed immense strength early on in the season.

On the offensive end, quarterback Josh Allen threw for 297 yards and three touchdowns with a 83.9% completed passes. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs had eight receptions and one touchdown for to make up 122 receiving yards. Wide receiver Gabe Davis also stepped up with four receptions and one touchdown for 88 yards. Overall, the O-line only allowed two sacks.

As for the defensive end, the Bills forced three interceptions with seven sacks. Cornerback Taron Johnson was huge on the defensive end with nine tackles, five of which were solo.

The Titans Need to Search for Answers

The Titans, the No. 1 seed of the AFC last year, are coming off a loss to the New York Giants after kicker Randy Bullock missed the 47-yard game-winner.

The Titans were struggling defensively the entire night. They allowed a total of five sacks on quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

Wide receiver Kyle Phillips and Treylon Burks combined for 121 yards with no touchdowns. Even so, Tannehill threw for 266 yards and two touchdowns.

Kickoff is set for Monday, Sept. 19 at 7:15 PM at Highmark Stadium.
