On Sunday in Richmond, Virginia, 37 drivers in 37 stock cars will race for 300 miles in the seventh race of this NASCAR season. The green flag will fly at 3:30 p.m. The NASCAR Toyota 400 is held at the Richmond Raceway and is considered a premier short track. Richmond is a .75 mile D-shaped track that the drivers will complete over 400 times to accumulate the 300 miles.
Alex Bowman
Almost a quarter of the way through the season, this race will mark a benchmark for most drivers. The driver for Hendrik Motorsports, Alex Bowman, won the NASCAR Toyota 400 and placed fourth overall this season. Bowman has finished top-10 this season three times, won one race already, and is heading for a good run. With him winning last year’s race and being ranked top-5, he could be considered a favorite to win. It’s still early enough in the season not to panic. But the halfway mark comes quick, and racers will be looking to get ahead in the polls.

Drivers to look out for
Ross Chastain and Chase Elliott on Sunday are other drivers to look out for. Chase Elliot is the current top-ranked driver in NASCAR, with 208 points, and has led 91 laps.
Ross Chastain is burning rubber, too, though. Winning last Sunday’s race, the ” EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix,” Chastain is in good form and may look to start a winning streak. Chastain is ranked fifth and has done exceptional so far this season. With a win under his belt, four top fives, and four top-10s, Chastain is a top driver.
According to Caesars Sportsbook, Kyle Larson is a 6-1 favorite. This is because of a trusted simulation that has been run 10,000 times that has come out with Larson on top. This simulation has predicted four major bets and wins in the 2021 season, including Larson winning the Cup Finale last season. Read more about predictive data engineer Mike McClure’s proven model.
Martin Truex Jr. has won three of his last five races at Richmond Raceway and is looking in prime condition after finishing top-10 three times in his last four starts.
