Warriors Even Western Conference Finals Against Thunder

After losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder Monday night, The Golden State Warriors were determined to take back their home court in Game 2 of the series last night.

That’s exactly what they did, with MVP Steph Curry leading the way.

At the start of Game 2 in the Oracle Arena the Thunder went point for point with the Warriors, but when the Thunder drew close, the Warriors Steph Curry took it upon himself to distance Golden State from the Thunder.  Curry scored nine points in just 75 seconds in the first quarter.

Trailing 27-20 in the second quarter, Kevin Durant picked up the pace scoring ten straight points closing the gap, trailing the Warriors 35-32. However, back-to-back three-pointers by the Warriors would pull them ahead once again. With 1:35 remaining, the Warriors and the Thunder were tied 49-49 but Golden State made sure to end the half strong scoring eight points in the final minutes of the half giving them a 59-47 lead going into halftime.

In the second half, the Warriors outscored OKC 61-42, where Kevin Durant scored just six of his 29 points. At the final buzzer, the Warriors beat out the Thunder 118-91.

Curry finished with 28 points, 17 in the third quarter alone, and nailed 5-of-8 three-point attempts.

Durant had eight turnovers and Russell Westbrook could not get in the grove only scoring 16 points for the game.

With the win, last night the warriors have not lost consecutive games this season.
The Thunder and the Warriors are now tied 1-1 for the series.

The Thunder will head home for Game 3 which is scheduled for Sunday at 8 p.m. in Oklahoma City.
