Miami Dolphins to Host Monday Night Football

The Miami Dolphins looks to become the second Florida NFL team to win this week as they take on the New York Giants tonight at home. Jacksonville also registered a win yesterday over the Colts.

The Dolphins bring a 5-7 record into the game after their win over the Ravens last week. But the last time Miami took got win over the Giants was in 2003. Miami’s Head Coach Dan Campbell says his linebackers will be will need to be on their A-game against New York’s running backs.

The Giants also have a 5-7 record and are looking to snap their three-game losing streak. Their last win was over the Bucs on November 8th.

As for the Giants-Dolphins history, the Giants lead the series 5-2 overall, winning the last two meetings in 2007 and 2011.

But for Coach Campbell and receivers Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr., the connections between the two teams run deeper than just the stats.

Dan Campbell played tight end for New York from 1999-2002 during his 10 years in the NFL.

Landry and Beckham were college teammates at LSU. While fans may be comparing the two players’ performances, Landry says he’s more focused on his team winning than outplaying his former teammate.

The game will begin at 8:30 p.m. tonight on ESPN.
