The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Baltimore Ravens at home 48 to 17 on Sunday. With this loss, the Bucs are now 1-5 for the season.
Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco threw five touchdowns in the first half of the game, becoming the first quarterback to do so since Tom Brady in 2009.
Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon started for his third game of the season, throwing two touchdowns and an interception.
The Bucs were finally able to score early in the third quarter with a 47 yard field goal. Glennon then threw to Mike Evans and former Gator Louis Murphy each for touchdowns.
The Bucs defense didn’t perform up to par but head coach Lovie Smith said there is “zero chance we change our scheme.”
The defense wasn’t able to pressure the Ravens offense, with not a single sack or interception.
The Bucs are now 0-3 at home.
“For our sake we are a better football team than that and I thought we would play better,” said Smith after the embarrassing loss.
