Miami Dolphins Lose in Closing Seconds to the Green Bay Packers, 30-27

With 2:04 left in the game, no timeouts left and on his own 40, Aaron Rodgers did what he does best, win football games. Rodgers engineered a 60-yard TD drive, ending it with a four yard touchdown pass with :03 seconds left to tight end Andrew Quarless to seal the deal and give the Green Bay Packers a 30-27 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Rodgers threw for 264 yards and three passing TDs, while Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill threw for 244 yards, two TDS and two interceptions. Jarvis Landry of the Miami Dolphins had the most successful game of his short NFL career, catching six balls for 75 yards and getting his first career receiving touchdown.

After the game, quarterback Ryan Tannehill said it was a tough loss for his team.

“We didn’t play well in the first half, but we fought ourselves back, made a bunch of plays in the second half, and then didn’t get it done there in the end with offense or defense,” he said.

Miami coach Joe Philbin praised the Packers.

“You’ve got to give them credit, they executed better,” he said.  “We had 70 yards of offense at halftime, that’s not good enough, it doesn’t matter what league you’re in, it definitely isn’t acceptable in this league.”

The Dolphins dropped to 2-3 on the season, and will travel to Chicago next week to take on the Bears, who come fresh off of a 27-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
