Jaguars Still Winless

The Jacksonville Jaguars remain winless after falling 33-14 to the Chargers in San Diego on Sunday.  The Jaguars are now 0-4 while the Chargers improve to 3-1.

Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles made his first career start, completing 29 of 37 passes for 253 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Bortles says it was a mixed-bag day for him.

“I left some throws out there. And didn’t make some plays. But I thought we had a decent first half and we got to continue to carry that over into the second and finish the game,” said Bortles.

Jacksonville head coach Gus Bradley said he was pleased with how Bortles looked in his first career start.

“I know that his efficiency was good, the decision making was pretty good. Just his overall poise and control and managing the huddle and taking control, I thought he did just a great job of that,” said Bradley.

Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers threw for 377 yards and three touchdowns.

The Jaguars will look for the team’s first season win next Sunday when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at EverBank Field. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
