Miami Dolphins Demolished at Home by Kansas City

The Miami Dolphins are now 1-2 on the season after losing at home to the Kansas City Chiefs 34-15.

Even with the absence of running back Jamaal Charles, the Chiefs still managed to rack up 174 yards on the ground en route to the win.

The Dolphins gave up a season high 342 yards to the Chiefs in the loss. Knile Davis spearheaded the Chiefs’ rushing effort with 32 carries for 132 yards and a TD, while Alex Smith threw for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns.

On the offensive side for Miami, quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw no picks, and was able to complete 21 passes for 205 yards and a TD, but it simply wasn’t enough for the Dolphins to pick up their second win of the season.

Talking about the loss and looking forward to next week’s game vs. Oakland, Tannehill said it is no time to panic.

“It’s still early in the season, so I have confidence that we can get this thing turned around, but it has to happen now. I said that last week and we didn’t get it done, so we’ve got another shot at it. We’re going across the ocean to play a big game in London, and then head into the bye week, so we need to be 2-2 at that point.”

Next week, the Dolphins take on the Oakland Raiders in England at 1 PM eastern time.  The Raiders have started 0-3 on the season, and are looking to pick up their first win.
