News and notes from Will Muschamp 4/2 press conference

Florida football head coach Will Muschamp announced big news about –among other things– the events surrounding the Orange and Blue Debut April 6, and how the game itself will play out:

Muschamp went on to say the game was free to the public. The University of Florida issued a press release earlier today outlining the policy for those that pre-purchased tickets:

“For fans that purchased tickets with a credit card, all monies will be credited back to the card that was used. If a fan purchased with cash or a check, a refund check will be mailed to the account holder’s address.  Please contact the Gator Ticket Office at (352) 375-4683, ext. 6800 for all inquiries.

Florida Farm Bureau customers who had received free admission coupons for the Orange & Blue Debut may redeem each coupon for a 50 percent discount on a full-priced ticket – a $25 value — for the Gators’ season-opener versus Toledo on Aug. 31, or for the game against Georgia Southern on Nov. 23. The coupons may be redeemed beginning May 15 at the Gator Ticket Office at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium during regular business hours, Mon.-Fri., 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are subject to availability.”

Besides Florida’s many injuries along the offensive line, there are other banged up Gators. Muschamp updates the status of Cody Riggs and Tripp Thurman…

…as well as a defensive lineman that will be out for Saturday’s spring game.

Muschamp will use the spring game as a test to see how his team –especially his young players– perform in front of crowds.

Injured wide receiver Demarcus Robinson has returned to practice; Muschamp said that his production is hampered.

Muschamp also highlighted other receivers who have played well this spring.

Muschamp has expressed issues in the secondary so far this spring as well as seeking more depth at linebacker.

He went on to talk about what is necessary to be a leader at each position…

Florida has put in a lot of work during the last three weeks and Saturday, Gator fans will be able to see just how far this team has come in a practice setting.
