Florida softball pitcher Kelly Barnhill has added another post season award during Wednesday nights ESPY’s.

The sophomore was named the Best Female Collegiate Athlete, beating out Stanford’s Inky Ajanaku (Volleyball), Former Washington Kelsey Plum (Basketball), Maryland’s Zoe Stukenberg (Lacrosse) and West Virginia’s Kadeisha Buchanan (Soccer).
Kelly Barnhill
Barnhill led the nation with a 0.51 ERA and 12.98 strikeouts per seven innings, the best in a single season by a Florida pitcher. She finished the season with a 26-4 record and 359 total strikeouts. Barnhill also set records with the lowest opponent batting average of .121, most combined shutouts of 10, most strikeouts looking, 100, and lowest stolen base percentage, .333.
She helped led her team back to the Women’s College World Series. She had at least 40 innings without giving up an earned run.
