The Yankees responded in the second inning with a solo homer from outfielder, Jacoby Ellsbury, but it wasn’t long till the Rays took back the lead.
Ray’s catcher Derek Norris singled to right field and drove in two runs to make it a 3-1 ball game.

Norris added a stolen base to his performance and scored from second base on a one-run single from Dickerson. Once Dickerson made it a 4-1 game, there was no more scoring after that.
Dickerson liked the strong start the team came out with.
Cobb Showed Strong Comeback
Rays picther Alex Cobb was looking a lot like his old self in yesterday’s performance. Since dealing with Tommy John surgery and the line drive to his head, Cobb hadn’t won at home for the Rays since August of 2014. That ended yesterday, earning his first win for the 2017 season.

Cobb finished the game with 5.2 innings pitched, four strikeouts, one batter walked, and allowed four hits and one run.
Unlike the Ray’s pitching, Yankees pitcher Michael Pineda started off his season on a bad note, having his first loss in his first game this season.
